NHRA Midwest Nationals - Madison, IL
After a disappointing start in the Countdown to the Championship at Reading, the Trick-Tools/WAR team has been steadily gaining points and found a new consistency at the halfway point. Three top-five qualifying efforts in a row and back-to-back semifinal finishes has propelled the team to 5th in the standings. In St. Louis their #4 qualifying position was only .001 seconds out of third. Crew Chief Tim Kulungian tuned the Trick-Tools Suzuki to a stellar 6.774 @ 198.77 mph and had some of the best 60' times of each round.
With the terrible crash of Angie Smith on Saturday, Chase's first round Sunday was a solemn single. Second round paired us against #5 qualifier Hector Arana Jr. Chase left first with a .029 to Hector's .046 reaction time and a 6.77 @ 198.67secured the win. In the semi-finals, we came up short once again to the always tough Gaige Hererra.
