NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals - Bristol, TN
It's Bristol baby! The Trick-Tools/WAR Pro Stock Motorcycle Team had its share of ups and downs at the Thunder Valley Nationals. The altitude and tricky track surface kept us working hard during qualifying as we were not running up to our potential until the very last session. A last ditch 6.911 @ 193mph put us 9th facing world champ Matt Smith first round.
The "Marquis Matchup" against Matt turned out to be anti-climatic as his bike failed to start in the burnout box giving us the automatic win. Second round we faced the undefeated Gaige Herrera for the first time this season in Sunday eliminations. Chase did his job riding perfectly leaving first with a .008 reaction time to Gaige's great .019 but the bike slowed to a 6.97 as the Vance & Hines team streaked to a low ET of the event 6.805.
The experience for the team was priceless and we are having a blast racing with the Tim and the crew. Next race on the tour will be Norwalk, OH in two weeks!
